Jed Thomas

Jed Thomas was raised in isolation on a sealed-off estate, his family bound to the Castors by fear and abuse. Malformed in body and mind, he was denied affection, education, or choice. His only comfort was a childish cartoon obsession.

As he grew, his family died one by one, leaving him alone with his hunger and strength. The cult found him useful and gave him purpose. Jed kills not out of belief or loyalty, but appetite — a hunger the cult can no longer control.

Dr. Thaddeus Castor

Dr. Thaddeus Castor was raised in wealth and academic prestige, heir to a bloodline that survived the destruction of Old Tallowfield. By day, he was a gifted surgeon. By night, he dissected victims with clinical detachment, treating murder as experimentation.

When suspicion closed in, the cult intervened, drawing him back to ancestral soil. There, his compulsions sharpened. Thaddeus does not see himself as a monster — only as a scholar continuing a forbidden lineage.

"Mad" Mary Tynan

“Mad” Mary Tynan was born into a folk-witch lineage already marked for extinction. Her family carried old rites across the Atlantic, living quietly near Tallowfield until Castor loyalists redirected suspicion toward them. The town turned vicious. Mary watched her family burn alive in a locked barn.

She fled into the forest and crossed into the Domain, where she made a pact with ancient powers. That night, Old Tallowfield was swallowed by the earth. Mary vanished into legend, bound to the land and its buried crimes.
